There is so much to say about this place! Massive, eerie, tranquil. I will ask permission if I go there again, I was simply overcome with the monolithic architechture and ethereal lighting.

Saturday was just a rich, full day. One of the highlights if to find my home buoys #4 & #5. There is no scale here but the 'St. James' was about three to four feet high. These must have weighed many, many tons.

I spent a portion of my day looking for the Little Traverse Bay Lighthouse. Much of my difficulty was due to all of the 'No Trespassing' signs posted abundantly around Harbor Springs. I don't think I have felt more unwelcome in a town before. Towering, pretentious steel sculptures, a polished downtown that made me want to crawl out of my skin. I continued because lighthouses are friends to everyone. This one was no exception.
